SafeContractor are one of the principal leading bodies in charge of regulating health and safety across the UK, awarding high standards and supporting companies in order to help them to comply with the laws and guidelines of their industry.
The organisation’s technical director, John Kinge, explains that “more companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that AAI Security Systems has done. The firm’s high standard has set an example which hopefully will be followed by other companies within the sector.”
Accreditation Process
Although we were more than confident in the health and safety practices we carry out when supplying, installing and maintaining all security systems, fire safety equipment, CCTV and access control components, AAI still had to be able to prove our abilities during the SafeContractor application process.
This included completing a health and safety questionnaire, which was then uploaded with the relevant documentation, which demonstrated the nature of our health and safety practices and the steps we take to preserve them.
The survey was scrutinised by SafeContractor, who then supplied feedback as to whether the information submitted was sufficient, leading to accreditation.

The primary advantage of SafeContractor accreditation is the assurances that it provides for our customers. As confident as we are in our health and safety practices, we now have certification to show that we have been sufficiently audited by the leading regulator in this field.
