Remote Monitoring
Initial demand for monitoring via an Alarm Receiving
Centre (ARC) grew from the need for the alarm installer
to overcome unanswered alarm calls and the 98% of
such calls that proved to be false. The police forces
demanded an intermediary service that would filter
calls and confirm their authenticity.
Monitored security systems provide you and your property
protection around the clock. Simply detecting intrusion
is not enough. Help must be summoned without delay.
A monitored intruder alarm connected to a 24 hour
monitoring service is the answer.
Traditional bells-only alarms may alert staff, but
outside business hours they offer little protection.
Police forces will not respond to a ringing bell unless
there is evidence of an offence in progress.
Consequently insurers insist on monitored intruder
alarms. These provide 24 hour, 365 day monitoring
by skilled operators in our Alarm Receiving Centre.
Systems employ sequential Audio or Visual verification
to minimise false alarms and avoid the risk of losing
police response.
Our Alarm receiving Centres have the NACOSS Gold Approval
for monitoring intruder alarms and use a range of
alarm signalling technology, from digital communicators
to Redcare - which detects cut lines - and dual signalling
systems with back-up communication paths.
AAI, along with its business partner, Southern Monitoring
Services (SMS) has constantly led the market in qualifying
for standards - a pedigree that guarantees the highest
levels of protection for you and your premises and
now Northern Monitoring Services (NMS) follows in
its sister's footsteps mirroring the same focus on
customers and their needs. These two monitoring provide
a full back up of each other should one centre be
knocked out.
In line with our philosophy of providing a comprehensive
and fully tailored service, we incorporate an extensive
range of security and environmental monitoring services.
These in turn are backed by efficient and professional
sales, consultancy, project management, training and
technical support capabilities, which are far beyond
the scope of most ARC's.
From inside our ultra high security control rooms,
teams of highly trained operators monitor alarm dispatch
screens which in turn are linked to a wide variety
of security or environmental systems. Included in
these systems are intruder, fire, medical, industrial,
environmental and lift alarms as well as satellite
tracking systems, CCTV and building management systems.
Our clients are assured of the highest standard of
service and support backed by our long-standing expertise
and national coverage.
At the heart of every business there is a mastermind,
a focal point with the brains to make mission critical
decisions accurately and efficiently time and time
again.
Our three alarm handling servers are separately located
and are connected to each other. This arrangement
ensures that if one server suffers a failure, one
of the other servers automatically compensates for
the failure with no interruption to the ARC's. Should
such a failure occur there is still an additional
server operating in parallel thereby guaranteeing
100% resilience even during a failure.
MASterMind is not just about alarm dispatch. The suite
of software also provides for extensive false alarm
reporting in accordance with regulatory requirement,
remote engineering functions for servicing of alarm
systems (VRT), remote access to the clients database
(MASweb), out of hours service co-ordination as well
as commissioning and servicing via a dedicated team
of operators.
A reports suite has been specifically written and
developed following consultation with our customers,
who now have the ability to print and view a multitude
of account information.
The software also integrates with all the well-known
signalling technologies and formats used in the security
industry, including RedCare, RedCare GSM Digital Services
Platform (DSP), SIA, Contact ID, extended formats,
GSM, ISDN and packet switched data networks.
CCTV Monitoring
AAI are able to monitor a CCTV system that can not
only detect an activation but our highly skilled trained
operators are able to differentiate between false
and real activations, reducing the number of potential
false call outs and can act accordingly to the information
received.
Through
our direct links to all UK Police Control Rooms we
will liaise quickly and efficiently with the police.
For
added security, and to prevent crime, sites with full
audio facilities enable our operators to challenge
& give warnings to potential attackers or assistance
to staff, customers and other visitors to the site.
In
addition to detector activated CCTV monitoring the
Remote Response Centre (RVRC) can also offer other
facilities and a bespoke service to our customers.
by remotely controlling gates and access barriers
via the CCTV equipment, the need to have a manned
security guard is eliminated.
Clients
not wishing this level of service, or in addition
to the above, we offer the facility of the connection
of the system to the Internet via a high speed Broadband
connection which will allow our customers to view
their CCTV System from any PC in the world!
